Our Mission

MatteraHuang is a nomadic art gallery dedicated to showcasing emerging artists and fostering connections between art enthusiasts and creators. Our primary objective is to support emerging artists by providing them with a platform to exhibit their high-quality artwork. We aim to bridge the gap between artists and collectors, creating a space where they can engage in meaningful exchanges.

At MatteraHuang, we believe in presenting art as an immersive experience. Through careful curation, we create environments that facilitate the exchange of ideas and creative expressions. Our goal is to bring together artists and collectors who share similar styles and tastes, encouraging them to interact and discover new perspectives. The artwork itself acts as the centerpiece, igniting conversations and connections.

As a mobile gallery, we currently organize art showings and silent auctions in upscale residential buildings. This allows us to bring art directly to the community, offering a unique and accessible experience. By operating in this manner, we provide a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work while creating opportunities for collectors to engage with and acquire exceptional pieces of art.

Founders

Shuyao Huang has received training in painting, fashion, and Museum and Gallery Practices. Alongside her passion for art curation, her aspirations lie in assisting young emerging artists in establishing their careers and addressing the injustices prevalent in the art world. She seeks to create a supportive community of like-minded artists, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration and shared goals.

Giavanna Mattera is educated in the history of art, painting and printmaking, as well as museum and gallery practices. With an interest in business as a tool for growth, she is determined to create a community of like minded artists.
